Brazil could double ethanol production in 10 years, official says

Brazil could double its ethanol production in the next 10 years and meet increased demand without causing environmental damage, the country's agriculture minister said Tuesday.
Reinhold Stephanes said in a statement "there are about 6 million hectares (15 million acres) of sugar cane plantations and about 150 million hectares (370 million acres) still available for agriculture."
